Twelve seats inside, twelve in the courtyard by the stream. We don’t reserve single tables, just come by. For six people or more, better call ahead.
Good to know
- Paying
- Cash always, girocard debit cards from €10. Not below that, the fee would cost more than the coffee. No credit cards.
- Dogs
- Welcome inside on a lead. The water bowl is to the left of the door.
- Sitting outside
- Six tables in the courtyard by the stream, April to October. No roof, so we clear them when it rains.
- With children
- Two high chairs and a box of building blocks. The changing table is in the ground-floor toilet.
- Wi-Fi
- Free, the password is on the board behind the counter.
- Working on a laptop
- Happily in the morning, three tables have sockets. From 2 pm we need the tables for cake guests and ask you to move up.
- Allergies
- The folder with every ingredient is at the counter, just ask for it. We bake two metres behind the counter, so there is flour in the air.
- What we don’t have
- No lunch menu, no hot food apart from scrambled eggs. There is an eight-centimetre step at the door. Call out and we put the ramp down. The Mill Room upstairs has no toilet, that means going down a narrow staircase. And on Sundays the cake often runs out around 3 pm.
The Mill Room for parties
- Seats
- 24 people at four long tables for coffee and cake. With a buffet along the wall, 18 seats remain.
- Room hire
- €45.00 for three hours, €12.00 for each extra hour. Spend €250.00 or more on food and drink and there is no hire fee.
- Coffee and cake
- Pots of four cups for €5.20, cake at menu prices. We bill afterwards, for what was on the table.
- Your own cake
- You are welcome to bring one, we provide plates and a cake server. That costs €1.50 per person. Decorations yes, confetti no.
- How far ahead
- Two weeks is usually enough. For Saturdays in Advent and in May, ask two months ahead.

- Music and closing time
- There is a socket and room for a small speaker, but no sound system. We finish at 10 pm, people live upstairs.
Getting here

- On foot from the market square
- Cross the bridge over the stream, then turn right along Mühlenweg by the water. Four minutes, and you can see the mill wheel from the bridge.
- By bus
- Line 7 to Mühlenweg, then 200 metres west.
- By car
- There is no parking at the building. You can park for free at the fairground, 200 metres away.
- By bike
- Six bike stands by the courtyard wall, under the canopy.
